England played poorly at Euros

England played poorly at the Euros in France according to former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard.

He said that the team underperformed in the tournament and that we should accept the truth. He stated that it is never easy to accept defeat in an international competition, but he believes that the team could have achieved much more in France.

He said that although Iceland deserves some respect for the way they played, England should have definitely beaten them. For him, England has the necessary players to win against a team such as Iceland but unfortunately they did not make it. He believes that the players will be disappointed with themselves as they will have loved to stay longer in the tournament.

Frank Lampard said that he understands the disappointment of the fans and that he knows that the players are also down. He said that the player did not lack desire on the pitch and that they came to the tournament to put in a good performance.

Lampard stated that he understands the expectation of the England population but for one reason or another the players were not able to perform to the best of their abilities. For him, the England national team has underperformed in France.

Frank Lampard is currently playing in the MLS for New York City and will be back in the team after a period of injury. This match will be an opportunity for Lampard’s side to take revenge on their opponents for their humiliating 7-0 defeat.

The former England midfielder believes that his team has improved a lot since their first encounter and that he expects his team to put in a much better performance. He stated that there is a better team spirit among the players and that they have also improved tactically.
